It's really about musicology--why the patterns of the music are so impactful, but along the way, you learn why the words and the melody combine to have such emotional impact. Well written. Toward the end of the summer we will take our kids to England and France where we will visit Normandy. I'll be there with my grown sons who will soon be off to do their own things in life. My father was a veteran and loved history and was a VFW chaplain. He never got to travel so I'll be there for him as well. Your piece made me think of him.
